Pick 'N' Mix Questions you may have

Below are some questions you may have about this years Pick ‘N’ Mix – but if your question isn’t here, please just get in contact and we’ll be happy to help!

We’ve been working behind the scenes to try and bring you the closest version of the Dornoch Whisky Festival Grand Tasting that we can.

So you can choose 6 drams out of a selection of over 80, pop them in your basket, pay as the normal £25 as possible (see more on that below) and enjoy your whiskies – preferably at a time when you would be at the Dornoch Whisky Festival Grand Tasting.

Navigate to the shop page and have a browse. We have a few available for you to choose from, so take your time and find your perfect six.

Add them to your basket, checkout as usual and make sure you have the correct shipping address on the order.

I’m afraid that’s not something we’re offering; we’re just trying to create a shadow of a replica of the Dornoch Whisky Festival Grand Tasting and not sell samples.

These samples are sold as a pack of six, and none of them is for resale.

Yes, if they’re in separate Pick ‘N’ Mix packs. You can only have one particular dram in each Pick ‘N’ Mix pack.

Yes, you can. You’ll have to add the drams to the basket in sets of six at a time, though.

So, select one group of six, then click add to basket.

Then select the second set of six and click add to basket.

Etc, etc. 🙂

Remember, you can only have one dram per Pick ‘N’ Mix selection, though.

This past while has been challenging for everyone, and that includes the companies we work with. Although we would love to have showcased everybody that usually attends, everyone is still getting used to the new normal and being part of this just wasn’t possible for everyone.

We’d like to think that 80+ is enough, but yes, potentially. It’s not something we have planned for, but it may happen.

You are more than welcome to switch out your drams (subject to availability) if it happens.

No, the glass is part of the Pick ‘N’ Mix event, should you chose to add it. It must be purchased with the Pick’ N’ Mix pack.

If you have already purchased your Pick ‘N’ Mix selection and did not add glass to the basket at the time, send us an email, and we’ll see what we can do 🙂

As much as we would have loved to match the £25 Grand Tasting ticket price, we have to consider online booking fees.

Sometimes this happens if you have added multiple packs and one of the items is low in stock.

So say there was only 2 of a particular dram, and you added three over three separate packs, it won’t let you check out.

Another one you may receive is either of the following:

“Pick ‘N’ Mix Bundle” cannot be purchased. The quantity of “Insert Dram Name Here” cannot be lower than 1.

or (sometimes both at the same time!)

“Pick ‘N’ Mix Bundle” cannot be purchased – please choose 6 items.

This occurs when you have duplicated a Pick ‘N’ Mix pack in the basket page. If you would like to make the same selection twice, select the first six, add them to the basket, then select the same six and add them to the basket. This way, they will show as two different Pick ‘N’ Mix packs – even if they have identical contents.

If you have a different issue or need some help, please contact us here.

The drams will be sent out in sample bottle sizes of 2CL/20ML.

No, this is basically a set of whisky flights that will be sent to customers – we’re just putting a slight twist on it.

We do, however, have Zoom tastings as part of our Dornoch Whisky Festival 2021 programme; see more on our events page

The drams will be sent out to our UK customers in time for the 30th October – the day our Grand Tasting would typically be – with the hopes that you will enjoy the drams in spirit with us.

Absolutely – we can ship outside of the UK, just get in touch, and we’ll get a quote for you.

Pick ‘N’ Mix tasting packs can be picked up at the Carnegie Whisky Cellars, where we are stealing their space for our Pick ‘N’ Mix whisky lab. They are open between 10am – 5pm on Friday & Saturday and 12pm – 5pm on Sundays.

The packs will be ready for pick up at the start of the Dornoch Whisky Festival (29th of October). If you require your pack a little before then, let us know, and we’ll see what we can do.
